San Francisco Zine Fest 2010

This is Peter Conrad, one of the many rad people who comprised the Zine Fest.  Not only did he create the smallest Zine of the whole bunch (housed in the little plastic deals as shown above), but in my opinion the most creatively housed zines.  The mini gum-ball machine is so clever!  He also has another zine called “Attempted Not Known” which is in the form of a cassette tape case (super neat!)… you can see a trace of this one in the cassette shaped bag that made its way into the shot.

Check him out!

Below, we have the Rock Paper Scissors table, an awesome & crafty Oakland-based collective that hosts a gallery space, craft materials/classes, and  a zine library! Check out our two zines in their library and visit rpscollective.com

Sisyphus Blas (Ari’s zine) distroed by Gimme Brains. It was awesome to meet the folks who are behind the distro!

Check them out!

Though best known in San Francisco’s alternative comedy scene, Mary Van Note (below) also produces entertaining zines and sharp little fabric zine carrying cases. Reminiscent of the bible cases children haul to sunday school, Van Note’s zine holders alone will convert you into a pious believer.
