Exile and the Kingdom Also: Owen Takabayashi’s solo exhibition Ever Gold Gallery

What a great collection of work.  I don’t want to say much more than that about the exhibition.  Just go check it out, it’s really worth it.  My photos are a bit tardy, as the opening was back on Sept. 1, but what the hell.  If you can’t make it out to the space, read his interview discussing the work and Ever Gold’s residency program at the Ever Gold Website.

Better late than never…

As promised a few weeks ago, here are some pictures from the Chris Ritson opening.  Again I just have to say what a beautiful show it is.  There will be an artist talk and closing reception this Saturday evening at Ever Gold gallery in SF.

Chris Ritson’s “In the Kingdom of Charisma” at Ever Gold Gallery

Of course I forgot to bring my camera to this RAD art opening that featured home grown crystals, giant collage sculptures and an aquarium!  Chris Ritson is the first ever artist in residence at Ever Gold Gallery in downtown San Francisco, and what an amazing show he has created!  He somehow (though he assured me that the amount of expertise involved was on the level of a third grade science fair… I doubt that) managed to grow crystals on a variety of objects including goat skulls, seahorse skeletons and damp paper towels.  The result is stunning and I encourage everyone to check it out.  More photos to come… I will hunt them down…
