Both of these are of my grandmother, Sheila, and her mother, Nancy Chapline who was an actress and dancer. They lived in Hollywood for most of my grandmother’s life, though they spent a few years in Bermuda at one point.

At the special exhibit: Wicked Plants! A compendium of poisonous plant life… the jars housed the seeds of plants that were too “dangerous” for the actual exhibit. This included the coca plant, just in case anyone got the crazy idea to ransack the conservatory and make drugs?
Earle T. Willey, my great Grandfather on my mom’s side. He was apparently a professional Hockey player.
Earle and his second wife, the only one of my great grandparents who I ever met and I am drawing a complete blank on her name. I love this photo of them.
Based originally on a medical diagram of scoliosis, then gussied up a bit.
